Mathilde Weh

Coordinator International Goethe-Instituts

Mathilde Weh is a deputy director, curator and musician and works in the department of visual arts at the headquarter of the Goethe-Institute in Munich. Since 2016 she is the Project Manager of bauhaus imaginista for the Goethe-Institut.

 

She advises art projects of the Goethe-Institutes abroad and is the curator of the touring exhibition "Geniale Dilletanten: Subkultur der 1980er-Jahre in Deutschland (Brilliant Dilletantes: Subculture in Germany in the 1980s). Exhibitions at the Haus der Kunst Munich, at Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, at Staatliche Kunstsammlungen/Albertinum Dresden, Historisches Museum Tiflis, RMIT Gallery in Melbourne, Ambush Gallery in Sydney, Zentrum für Moderne Kunst in Minsk, Weißrussland, Kunstmuseum Nowosibirsk, Gallery 18th Street Arts at Los Angeles, RMIT Gallery at Melbourne, Gallery aMBUSH at  Sydney, Museum für Zeitgenössische Kunst at Bukarest, Historisches Museum at Sarajewo, Laboratorio de Arte at Guadalajara Mexiko, at the Goethe-Institutes at Thessaloniki, Washington, Toulouse and Eriwan, Universitätsbibliothek Banja Luka, Architekurfäkultät Sofia, Stara Ciglana at Belgrad, Pro Arts Gallery at San Francisco, St. Paul Minnesota at Chicago, Amin Gulgee Gallery at Karachi. Participation in various panel discussions on the subject of subcultures worldwide and at the Akademie der Künste Berlin.
