Research Assistant

Jonas von Lenthe (b. 1990, Munich), a trained carpenter, has studied Exhibition Design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design) and at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (University of Fine Arts) in Hamburg. His practice is settled in the intersection of research, publishing and exhibition making.

Von Lenthe was co-founder of the project space Sushila Malloy (2015, Karlsruhe). In March 2018, his first book titled Responding to Particular Needs at a Precise Moment, about the built environment of the city of Tirana, Albania, has been published by Spector Books, Leipzig. In this book, pictures taken by Jonas von Lenthe of the built environment in postsocialist Tirana are contextualized by photographic archive material and interviews with different architects. He is currently researching on the 1955 rejected proposals for the flag of Europe. At bauhaus imaginista he is in charge for the print reproductions shown in the exhibitions. He is based in Berlin.
