Rainer K. Wick

Rainer K. Wick (born: 1944), studied pedagogy, sociology, art history and art education, receiving his doctorate with a dissertation on art sociology. From 1979 to 1985 he was a professor in the Department of Design and Art Education at the Universität Essen, followed in 1985 by his habilitation in art education. From 1986 to 2009 he held the chair of Art and Cultural Education at the Universität Wuppertal. His research and publishing focus, in particular, on intermedial art, the Bauhaus and its surroundings, art education, photography and Italian art.
