Tom Holert

Tom Holert is a Berlin-based independent scholar. In 2015 Holert co-founded the Harun Farocki Institut in Berlin (harunfarocki-institut.org). In 2018 he co-curated Neolithic Childhood: Art in a False Present, c. 1930 at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (the accompanying book, co-edited with Anselm Franke was published in summer 2018). Holert’s current research focuses on interwar avant-garde art and theory as well as on post-war configurations of art, architecture and knowledge production. An upcoming book attends to the interlacing of contemporary art and
politics of knowledge.
