Knoth & Renner

Graphic Design Online Journal

Knoth & Renner work on the intersection of digital culture and graphic design. They collaborate since 2011 in Berlin and Leipzig. Based on a deep appreciation for technology and it’s visual echo, Christoph Knoth’s and Konrad Renner’s portfolio includes digital projects for artists like Simon Denny and !Mediengruppe Bitnik, publishers like Sternberg Press and Spector Books and institutions like Kunsthalle Zurich and the German pavilion at the Venice art biennial.
They are both professors at the art university in Hamburg (HFBK) where they teach a class on digital graphic design. Together with their students they explore the integrity of modern technologies and try to emancipate from existing visual tools.
