Elle Burchill

Elle Burchill is an American artist, curator, and the co-founder/co-director of Microscope Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in New York presenting works by emerging to pioneering artists with an emphasis on the mediums of moving image, sound, performance, and digital art. Through the gallery, which was founded in 2010, she co-organizes a weekly series of events including screenings, performances, readings, and artist talks. Through the gallery, she has also organized events in collaboration with institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Her own work has screened and exhibited at Anthology Film Archives; Bronx Museum of Art; Light Industry; Millennium Film Workshop; BAF/Pacific Film Archives, Berkeley, CA; Harvard Film Archives, Cambridge, MA; Accademia di Bella Arti di Brera, Milan, Italy; Contemporary Arts Center, Vilnius, Lithuania; and Kunstverein, Amsterdam, The Netherlands; among others. Burchill lives and works in New York.
