Cordelia Osasona

Cordelia Osasona is a Professor of History of Architecture at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where she has twice headed the Department of Architecture, and was Vice-Dean of Environmental Design and Management (from 2008 to 2010). She is the first female Architect produced by the University of Ife, and is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.

Currently, she is the pioneer Head of Architecture at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Her present research and fieldwork center on restoration/ renewal of Nigerian Brazilian houses. She also engages in revivalist experiments with decorative vernacular building features. She has published extensively, locally and internationally, on Vernacular Architecture and Architectural Graphics themes, among which are three books (two of which are on the global market, with one having been translated into French).
