Andrea Monti is an Italian curator, artist, and the co-founder/co-director of Microscope Gallery, a contemporary art gallery presenting works by emerging to pioneering artists with an emphasis on moving image, sound, performance, and digital art. In addition to the gallery’s exhibitions, Monti co-curates screenings, performances, readings, and artist talks through a weekly event series. Through the gallery, he has also organized events in collaboration with institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. His independent curatorial projects have been presented at Anthology Film Archives, New York, Italian Cultural Institute of New York, and Centre Pompidou, Paris, among others. Monti lives and works in New York.
